AboutUmrahOnTheGo was born of a simple observation: every year, thousands of Muslims travel long distances between Europe and Asia without realising they could complete Umrah en route. This guide was created to make this possibility concrete, simple and accessible.

Our Mission

We help Muslim travellers integrate Umrah into their existing trips — whether for business, a family visit or a holiday. Our goal: that no one gives up on Umrah due to lack of information or organisation.

What We Offer

  • Practical guides on visas, transport and rituals
  • Typical itineraries based on your departure and destination country
  • Spiritual advice to prepare your heart for pilgrimage
  • Regular updates on Saudi rules (Nusuk, Umrah seasons)

Wacil Mundi and the Blog Network

UmrahOnTheGo is published by Wacil Mundi, a freelance writer passionate about Halal travel and Muslim lifestyle. She also writes for AsieHalal, the guide to Muslim Friendly destinations in South-East Asia, and for Domobayt, the blog dedicated to Islamic smart home living.

These three blogs form a network of complementary content: travel, Halal destinations and connected home. Each project shares the same vision: making modern Muslim life accessible to as many people as possible.

  • AsieHalal.com — Halal travel guides in Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, Singapore)
  • Domobayt.com — Islamic smart home, home automation and automations for the Muslim household

Wacil regularly publishes articles on these three blogs, in French, with no commercial slant. Affiliate links (Trip.com, Amazon) are clearly identified and never increase the price for the reader.

Our Mission: Making Umrah Accessible to All

Transit Umrah is still little known in Europe. Yet it allows thousands of worshippers to combine an existing trip (Asian holiday, family visit, business travel) with this sacred pilgrimage — without significant extra cost and without having to plan an entirely dedicated journey.

UmrahOnTheGo was created out of this observation: there was a lack of a comprehensive, practical and honest French-language guide to help Francophone pilgrims in this process. No commercial agenda, no agency behind it — just verified information, regularly updated.

What You Will Find Here

  • The rituals explained step by step, with the duas to recite
  • Visa procedures according to your nationality (French, Comorian, Indonesian, etc.)
  • Transport from Jeddah to Makkah and Madinah
  • Hotels selected for their quality and proximity to the Haram
  • Destinations that combine naturally with transit Umrah

Our Values

The information published on this site is independent, based on official Saudi sources (Nusuk, MOFA) and feedback from pilgrims. We update content whenever Saudi regulations on Umrah change. If you notice an error or want to share your experience, contact us.
