Umrah preparation — Umrah preparation has two inseparable components: material preparation (clothing, luggage, documents) and spiritual preparation (intention, rites, duas). For a transit trip, good organization is essential.

Material Preparation

For a transit trip, optimizing your luggage is crucial. Check our equipment guide including:

• Men’s Ihram: 2 pieces of unsewn white cloth (ponge or terry), belt
• Women’s Ihram: loose clothing, abaya, hijab — no specific style required
• Suitcase vs backpack: for a short transit, a 10 kg cabin bag is sufficient
• Travel pharmacy: heat medication, sunscreen, saline solution
• Mobile apps: Nusuk (mandatory), Quran Pro, Qibla compass

Spiritual Preparation

Umrah is first and foremost an act of worship. Our spirituality guide helps you with:

• Formulating the Niyyah (intention) correctly
• Reviewing the duas for Tawaf, Sa’i and the Rawdah
• Understanding the meaning of each step of the rite
• Preparing inwardly through Tawbah and contemplation
